Before you go

Much of the battlefield is MOD land; see it from the Edge Hill ridge roads. Check before you go.

The battle was fought again in the sky.

After the Battle of Edgehill in October 1642, people around Kineton said they saw and heard the battle fought again in the sky, with drums, trumpets and cannon. Pamphlets about it, including A Great Wonder in Heaven, were printed in London in January 1643. The Lancashire Telegraph says Charles I sent six officers under Colonel Lewis Kirke, who saw the vision too.
