A woman locked in a dungeon, and another who beckons you up the tower.
Berry Pomeroy is a Tudor mansion built inside a medieval castle, now in ruins in woodland. Wikipedia quotes the English Heritage guidebook calling it one of the most haunted castles in Britain. Two ghosts are told of: the White Lady, said to be Margaret Pomeroy imprisoned in the dungeons, and the Blue Lady who lures passers-by up her tower. English Heritage notes a Gothic novel set there in 1806.
