Count them three times. Get the same number. No man ever has. A baker tried with loaves.

The King's Men are a close ring of more than seventy weathered, pitted stones on the Rollright ridge, said to be the king's soldiers turned to stone by the witch. Legend says no one can count them. The man who counts them three times and gets the same number each time will never live. Some say that whoever does it will get his heart's desire. A baker once swore he could count them. He put a loaf on every stone, but each time he collected them some were missing, taken by the Devil or the fairies.
