Robin's hiding tree.

The Major Oak in Sherwood Forest is said to have sheltered Robin Hood and his Merry Men. The tree was thought to be 800 to 1,200 years old and was held up by props. In June 2026 the RSPB said it had died after failing to come into leaf.
