Rock the cradle at Candlemas.

Each year near Candlemas, Blidworth church rocks a baby boy in a flower-decked cradle. The service recalls Jesus being presented at the Temple. The diocese believes it is the only church still keeping the custom. A peal was rung before the Rocking on 1 February 2026.
