The She-Wolf still walks.

In 1330 the young Edward III's men are said to have entered Nottingham Castle through a rock passage. They seized Roger Mortimer, the lover of Queen Isabella. Legend says Isabella's ghost, the 'She-Wolf of France', still haunts the castle. The passage was named Mortimer's Hole.
