The Devil's aim from Pendle.

Clitheroe Castle's small keep has a large hole in one wall. Legend says the Devil threw a boulder from Pendle Hill that made it; another story blames Cromwell. Wikipedia says natural decay is more likely. Folk tales also link the Devil to boulders round the town.
