A weeping woman in black on the stairs.
From 1882 to 1889 a tall woman in black, holding a handkerchief to her face, was seen in a house on Pittville Circus Road. The main witness was Rosina Despard, then 19. The Psi Encyclopedia says she wrote her account at the request of F.W.H. Myers of the Society for Psychical Research. The BBC lists it too.
