Beat the drum, and Drake will come back to save England.

Drake's Drum went with Sir Francis Drake on his last voyage, and he is said to have vowed that if it were beaten when England was in danger he would come back. Wikipedia says it was claimed heard in 1620, in 1914 and at the surrender of the German fleet in 1918. The Marine Park adds later claims up to 2005. The drum was long at Buckland Abbey, Drake's home; the National Trust says it is now shown at The Box in Plymouth.
