Parish church of St Mary Magdalene; usually open in daylight. Check before you go.
A stone in the church floor, carved for a dragon-slayer. Knight or farm boy, depending who you ask.
Lyminster church holds a worn tombstone called the Slayer's Slab, said to come from the tomb of the man who killed the Knucker. In the knight's version, the king of Sussex promised his daughter to whoever rid the land of the dragon. The knight won, married the princess, settled at Lyminster and was buried under the slab. Some versions of the Jim Pulk story say he died of his own poison, which may have been added later to explain the slab.
