A white dress on the stairs.
Washington Old Hall, ancestral home of George Washington's family, is said to be haunted by a Grey Lady, also called the White Lady. A former resident recalled seeing a woman in a white dress on the stairs at age three. The National Trust put the White Lady at a banquet table in a 2021 art installation.
