One young knight of Arthur's, riding up an island hill where three giants lived.
Brent Knoll rises abruptly from the flat Levels near the Bristol Channel, with an Iron Age hillfort on its summit. When the moors around it flooded, it stood as an island, a safe haven from the water, and it was known as the Isle or Mount of Frogs, in Latin Mons Ranarum. An Arthurian legend says that Ider, son of Nuth, one of King Arthur's knights, came to the Mount of Frogs on a quest to slay three giants who lived there. The fetched source does not say how the fight ended. The hillfort has also been claimed as Mons Badonicus, the site of Arthur's great battle.
