Swaffham's pedlar walked all the way to London Bridge for a dream. Turns out the treasure was in his own back garden.

A Swaffham pedlar dreamed that if he went and stood on London Bridge he would hear good news. He walked to London with his dog and waited on the bridge for days. Eventually a shopkeeper laughed at him and said he'd dreamed of treasure under a tree in a place called Swaffham, but he'd never be fool enough to go looking for it. The pedlar hurried home, dug under the tree in his own garden and found a pot of gold. A second pot was buried beneath it. He paid to rebuild the church, and carvings of the pedlar and his dog are still there.
