The Minster is open most days; the tomb is in the south choir aisle. Check before you go.
Neither inside the church nor outside it.
Anthony Ettrick of Holt, the magistrate who sent the captured Duke of Monmouth to London in 1685, fell out with the Minster authorities. He swore he would be buried neither inside the church nor outside it,. He was given a recess in the Minster's wall for his coffin. Convinced he would die in 1693, he had the date painted on it, but he lived on until 1703, and the date was altered. His coffin still sits in the wall, neither in nor out.
