Laid under a bridge.

A headless lady trailing white silk, her face in her breast, was said to haunt Mortham. She was a murdered heiress or a Lady Rokeby shot by robbers. A parson laid her under the dairy bridge over the Greta, but floods destroyed it in 1771.
